Dr.Sunyat-sen memorial hall
Now we are standing in front of dr.Sunyat-sen memorial hall.it was the president working place for dr.sun in 1921.However it was ruined by chenjiongming in 1922.
The Chinese in order to honour this big hero of Chinese democratic revolution,and rebuild a new building .the new building was design by an famous designer-- lvyanzhi.the construction started in 1929,and finished at 1931.
We see a bronze statue--the man who is dr.sunyan-set.This statue is 5m tall,was built in 1956.
And we see a big building ,u may ask y the designer put the blue tile on the cover of the building ,because it is sun'favourite color.
This main building 49m tall,71m wide ,covering an area of 12,000km,it has a top reaching 52.8meters tall.has more than 5000 seats.there are two floors with 11entrance and exits,now is a place for important conferences and big performances .
As u know kapok is guangzhou city flower ,the kapok tree is very straight and tall,at the beginning of the spring u can see many big and red kapok .On the right side of the main building ,there are two kapok trees,has a history more than 300years.
