How long will the full moon appear?
Wine cup in my hand,I ask the sky.
I do not know what time of year
It would be tonight in the palace on high.
Riding the wind,there I would fly,
Yet I'm afraid the crystalline palace would be
Too high and cold for me.
I rise and dance,with my shadow I play.
On high as on earth,would it be as gay?
The moon goes round the mansions read
Through gauze-draped windows to shed
Her light upon the sleepless bed.
Against man she should have no spite.
Why then when the people part,it she oft full and bright?
Men have sorrow and joy; the part of meet again;
The moon is bright or dim and she may wax or wane.
There has been nothing perfect since the golden days.
So let us wish that man
Will live long as he can!

With a cup of wine in my hand, I ask the blue sky.
I don't know what season it would be in the heavens on this night.
I'd like to ride the wind to fly home.
Yet I fear the crystal and jade mansions are much too high and cold for me.
Dancing with my moon-lit shadow。
It does not seem like the human world The moon rounds the red mansion
Stoops to silk-pad doors Shines upon the sleepless Bearing no grudge
Why does the moon tend to be full when people are apart?
People may have sorrow or joy, be near or far apart
The moon may be dim or bright, wax or wane
This has been going on since the beginning of time
