1. College Life
A: I'm so glad it's summer. Aren't you?
B: Yeah, the school year was so full of challenges.
A: I agree. I was taking some really difficult classes.
B: Me too. I hated writing those proofs for linear algebra.
A: Oh, that's not so bad for me. I just didn't like my economics class.
B: Isn't your roommate good at econ?
A: Yes, but we've been arguing, so she won't help me.
B: I see. Personal relationships are so hard to handle in college.
A: Exactly. Sometimes we just don't have time to be extremely civil.
B: But did you do well on exams?
A: Yeah, how about you?
B: I did pretty well too. I think that's the most important.
A: Definitely.

2. Relationships:
A: What do you look for when you're dating?
B: Well, I want someone who's tall and good-looking...
A: That's a little shallow. You can't judge a book by its cover.
B: True, but sometimes it just means the person is well-off and good at caring for himself.
A: I guess so. Anyway, I think humor is really important.
B: Me too. But I don't want someone who just makes everybody laugh.
A: What do you mean?
B: I want him to be dependable, and to be better to me than anyone else.
A: Well, of course. And would you prefer money or talent?
B: Talent, because it means potential to earn more money.
A: Yeah, some people just waste all their wealth. I want someone I can admire and respect.
