Manners in every country are different.What is polite in China may not be polite in the United States.These basic rules will help you enjoy western food with your American friends.
Always put the napkin on your lap first.Before you leave the table,fold your napkin and put it beside your plate.
As the meal is served,use the silverware farthest from the plate first.When eating something in a bowl,do not leave the spoon in the bowl.
Wait until everyone has been served to begin eating.Everyone begins to eat at the same time.The host or hostess may invite you to start eating before everyone is served.
While eating,remember not to talk with your mouth full of food.

Having the dinner politely is good habit for everybody.
Dosen't matter you are girl or boy, doing something properly and gentally is very importent. It is the basic konws the basic proprieties in the dinner.
1st of all, you have to waiting for hostess to show your set, to draw the chair for you and help you to set comfortble.
2nd of all, before dinner hostess should order some drink for everybody. The wins are for adults, of course. For chirdren, can choic any kind of drink, you can ask the hostess directly, even you say no, depend on your like.
When you eat, don't make the noise too much, don't talk with somebody, when there are some food in your mouth. Don't eat only, no any conversation, Don't do this, don't do that......
Anyway there are lot of rules, some likes in China. Pay attention to your around, will learn the polite a lot.
