叮咚泉——Dingdong Spring
此泉直径约1米,泉水甘甜可口,四季长流.关于叮咚泉有一个凄美的传说,相传马耳山下一刘姓姑娘为给婆婆治病,费尽周折从辽河龙王三公主那里讨来两颗碧水珍珠.但当她返家,发现婆婆已过世.姑娘悲痛欲绝,将两颗珍珠抛于马耳山中,落到山南的一颗化作葫芦泉,而落到山北的一颗便化作叮咚泉.
With a diameter of about 1 meter,the spring flows all year round and tastes sweet.According to the legend,there was a girl living at the foot of Maer Mountain.In order to cure her mother-in-law’s illness,she went to the Liao River to ask for two pearls from a daughter of the Dragon King (the God of Rain in Chinese mythology).However,her mother-in-law was dead when she returned home with these pearls.The girl was so sad that she threw them into the mountain and they respectively turned into Gourd Spring in the south and this Dingdong Spring.
如意树——Ruyi Tree
辽东栎，别名辽东柞、橡树，壳斗科栎属多年生落叶乔木。因树形似如意，故名。此树枝杈繁多，寓意多福多寿。据说在树下虔诚许愿，后轻抚树干，再将红丝带系于树枝，愿望将很快达成。
Quercus liaotungensis,Quercus,Fagaceae,perennial deciduous tree,is also named as Liaodong oak,oak.The tree got its name because its shape is similar to Ruyi (a kind of traditional Chinese handicrafts).It has luxuriant branches and leaves which symbolize prosperity and longevity.It is said that one’s wish will soon come true if he or she makes a wish under the tree and then ties a red ribbon to the tree.
