Gratitude,a word so popular that even a primary student can spell without hesitation,remains one of the best human emotions.For my part,it goes with general and special meanings.
According to the definition from the dictionary,gratitude means not only the quality of being thankful,but also the readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness,which means we are bathing in the sunshine of gratitude when we get or give.For example,I am grateful after every meal with my parents,for they gave me life and are still giving me a guidance to life.It is even more grateful for me that I can bring them happiness by every means within my abilities.
Meanwhile,as far as I am concerned,the special gratitude comes from my opponents.They are competitive,sometimes even slippery.However,I owe a significant part of my growth to them,without which maturity wouldn’t have keeping my acquaintance.
Above all,I am grateful for people who like or dislike,fight with or against me.Actually,what gratitude means to me,in summary,is to love the people and the world.
